The first of the state-of-the-art buildings is scheduled to be handed over by the contractors within the next few weeks.
Word of this from Project Manager, Mr. Craig Archer.
Archer, whose company, Construction Project Management Services Inc, is overseeing the completion of Phase 1 of the multimillion dollar project, said crews are steadily working toward the mid-August handover date of Building B.
The second building in Phase I, Building A, Archer said is due to be handed over in November, 2008.
When completed, the first two buildings will provide 31,000 sq ft of space each. The space is intended for information technology, high-tech service and manufacturing companies.
The Newton Business Park, which is being constructed on 6.5 acres of land will not only boast an aesthetically pleasing design, but also environmentally friendly features. Archer noted for example that the buildings have been designed to capture extensive natural lighting and ventilation and will likely incorporate the use of photovoltaics for solar powered exterior lighting.
