The British Virgin Islands are a group of over sixty (60) islands, the largest of which are Tortola and Virgin Gorda.

  • COMMERCIAL INVOICE - Two (2) Copies required
  •  CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN - Usually not required.  Two copies are necessary if requested by the importer or specified in the Letter of Credit.   It must be certified by a recognised Chamber of Commerce, which usually requires one additional notarized copy for its files.
  • PRO-FORMA INVOICE.   This may be requested by the importer, either to substantiate a license application or to negotiate an import contract.
  • BILL OF LADING OR AIR WAYBILL.      There are no regulations specifying the form or number of bills of lading or air waybills required for any particular shipment.
  • PACKING LIST - Not mandatory.  Although not required, its submission would facilitate customs clearance.
  • OTHER DOCUMENTS.   Special health certificates are required for live animals and plants.
