The BIDC takes this opportunity to wish each of our clients, tenants and partners, a safe and healthy journey through this period of national pause caused by the increase in local cases of COVID 19.   We are committed to the task of supporting manufacturers and all other Barbadian businesses that are determined to come out of this experience stronger and with even greater resilience and purpose. Our determination is not only to survive this disruption to our lives and businesses but it is our intent to build back better in all aspects of our lives. Following the 2020 lockdown, the Corporation put measures in place to better facilitate virtual and remote working and communications. We are fully prepared and our staff is equipped to continue to function through this period.

To keep current on all the ways we will continue to assist you in this process we are asking you to stay in contact with the Corporation remotely through our website, social media channels and Officers for updates, notices and changes.

Our Certification Service (Drop-boxes for Exporters), which is an essential service that supports the Manufacturing Sector, was delivered from our Small Business Centre at Fontabelle during February. All Certification and Drop-box services will now return to operating at the Head Office from Monday March 1, 2021.

Certification services will be provided daily from Monday to Friday at the times listed below:

Document Drop Offs: 8:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M.
Document Collections:  12:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M.

Cheques should be placed in the appropriate box.

Payments to BIDC

We are encouraging the use of electronic payment options when conducting business with the BIDC so that we all do our part in staying safe. Please be guided by the information below.

Suppliers and Contractors

Effective immediately, all persons conducting business with the Corporation will be required to submit banking details to facilitate payment. Credit Union payments for vendors cannot be facilitated at this time. Please submit your banking details by email to to allow electronic payments for goods or services rendered.

The information required is listed below.

  • A scanned copy of the top portion of your bank statement (personal details blotted out)
  • Bank name and branch
  • Bank account number
  • Whether the account is a chequing or savings account
  • Name on bank account
  • Email address (for notification of payment)
  • Please note that you may be contacted to verify the information provided.

Clients and Tenants

We are in the process of increasing the number of electronic payment options to include additional banking institutions. We will keep you updated. Please see our current banking details below to facilitate payments. Also note that the dropbox for deposits previously located at the BIDC Head Office will now be located at the BIDC Small Business Center at Fontabelle, St. Michael from February 3, 2021, until further notice.
